The Exploring Engineering Club is returning for the 2017-18 school year.
When it rains, it pours—and when water can’t soak through pavement, rain collects pollution that washes into rivers, lakes, and oceans. Use your environmental engineering skills to redesign a city and control stormwater runoff.
The club will meet from 2:00 to 3:00 on Mondays, starting January 22nd running 7 weeks in Room 168.
The club is a collaborative of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Reeds Brook Middle School. The mission of this club is to create engaging out-of-school time learning experiences designed for 6th-8th graders that positively impact youth’s attitudes about engineering. The students will be guided through engineering problems/solutions by trained graduate students from the the University of Maine 4-H STEM Ambassadors Program.
Come engage in activities that are fun, exciting and connected to the world in which we live.
