Hello, My name is Don Roux and I am the principal at Reeds Brook Middle School. We have been unable to send out The Rebel Report for the last two weeks, so I wanted to take the time today to remind everyone of two very important events.
First, The Hampden Academy Curriculum Fair is taking place Tuesday, February 26th at 6 pm. This is a special night for incoming 9th-grade students and their parents. Similar to an open house, it gives families a chance to tour the building and meet the teachers. This is a self-directed tour with no required meetings. You can choose the floors and classes that you would like to see. At each classroom, parents can pick up a syllabus of what the class involves, ask questions, and learn about activities such as Latin Club, The Math Team, Show Choir, and others.
Then on Friday, March 1st the 8th grade will be having their annual Ice Fishing trip. We are asking for anyone who wants to and is able to help to, to please join us. We will be having an information meeting for those who are going to assist drilling ice holes at Reeds Brook at 6:45 am that morning. Those in attendance for this meeting will leave immediately following with Mr. Haggan. For those who are helping in other areas, there will be another meeting at Reeds Brook at 8:30. Please be in attendance.
Also, any student who wants to ride TO and/or FROM the event with a parent or guardian must have a signed note stating the student’s name, guardian signature, and detail (riding To, from, or both) plans. This needs to be submitted to the office at Reeds Brook PRIOR to March 1st.
Thank you for everything support
