Welcome to Reeds Brook Middle School

About Us

Dear Reeds Brook Families,

We are thrilled to welcome you to what promises to be an incredible 2026–2027 school year! Our entire team is excited to kick off this year with engaging experiences that create lasting impact and reflect our commitment to the optimal learning of all students.

At Reeds Brook, we believe in the power of community. Our dedicated staff works together to create a supportive environment that challenges every student to achieve individual success, putting our school’s mission into action each and every day. We teach the whole child – mind, heart, and character.

Growing Competent and KIND Students

Our goal is to partner with families like yours to grow each student as both competent and KIND. This journey is guided by our four core values that shape everything we do:

  • Honesty – Building trust through truthfulness and integrity
  • Respect – Honoring ourselves, others, and our learning environment
  • Compassion – Showing care and understanding for one another
  • Responsibility – Taking ownership of our actions and learning

First Day Details

We’re excited to welcome everyone to Reeds Brook on Monday, August 31 for the first day of school. School doors open to students at 7:15 AM, and all students should be at school by 7:35 AM to be ready for the 7:40 AM start of the day. School ends at 2:00 PM. Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Student schedules will be available on PowerSchool on Monday, August 17th. If you can’t access your schedule on PowerSchool, you can get a copy of it at school on August 27th at our Open House from 5:00–6:00 PM. See the PowerSchool Parent Account Setup Guide below if you don’t have an account yet.

If you have questions about busing, please check bus route information in the Link 22, which will be mailed to residents in August. You can also call Cyr Bus at 862-0843 for help with busing.

Information about laptops and other personal electronic devices will be sent to students and families of all grades in a separate message. Fall sports sign-ups have started – please check the Reeds Brook Middle School website for more information.

Please contact the main office at rbmsoffice@rsu22.us if you have questions.

An Exciting New Daily Schedule

We also want to share some important news about your child’s school day. MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) is a proactive, evidence-based framework that helps us identify students who need additional academic, behavioral, or social-emotional support – and reach them early. Our MTSS team has spent the year carefully planning, and this fall RBMS is launching a new daily schedule designed to give every student more consistent instruction, stronger support, and a clearer routine.

RBMS Schedule Design

We believe these changes will make each school day more purposeful and predictable for your child.

Thank You!

To our Reeds Brook families – thank you for your continued trust and partnership. Your support makes all the difference in creating the positive, nurturing environment where our students flourish. We’re looking forward to a productive and positive year of working together to help every student reach their full potential. If you have questions about any of these changes, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Here’s to an amazing year ahead!

Warmly,

Jen Cyr, Principal
